Cargo that is transported commercially must be properly secured to certify the safety of the driver, employees, and motoring public. Carriers are responsible for ensuring their cargo does not shift, move, or spill onto the roadway.
In this training module, we’ll cover the guidelines covered within National Safety Code Standard 10 for proper cargo securement. The average student will require approximately 20 minutes to complete both the course and quiz.
Supplemental mini-courses for commodities that have specific securement requirements are also available. Securement training for “Logs” and Dressed Lumber/Building Material” can be taken for those requiring additional instruction on handling these materials.
