WHMIS
Under WHMIS legislation, every person who works with, or in proximity to, hazardous materials is required to complete training in WHMIS. This course covers the fundamentals of WHMIS in an interactive online learning environment that can be accessed from any Internet- connected computer.
The average student requires 30 to 45 minutes to complete this training and is awarded with a downloadable and printable certificate of training.

Course Duration: 24 Months
Working in Cold Weather
Working in extreme environments, especially cold ones present some unique obstacles and challenges to ensure ones safety. This course covers a wide variety of topics pertaining to the hazards of working in cold weather as well as the steps one can take minimize the risk. This course also features an embedded and downloadable poster outlining the general guidelines when working in cold weather.
This average student will require approximately 10 minutes to complete both the course and quiz. Upon successful completion of the course the candidate will be awarded a downloadable and printable certificate for their employment records.

Working in Hot Conditions
Working in hot environments can be very hazardous if improperly prepared or aware of certain warning signs. This course covers a wide variety of topics pertaining to the dangerous of working in high heat areas including identification of common heat stress disorders as precautionary measures that can be taken to ensure your safety. This course also features an embedded and downloadable poster outlining the safe working guidelines when working in high heat environments.
This average student will require approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete both the course and quiz. Upon successful completion of the course the candidate will be awarded a downloadable and printable certificate for their employment records.

Fire Extinguisher Operation
This course covers the fundamentals of fire extinguisher selection and use in an interactive online learning environment that can be accessed from any Internet-connected computer.
The average student requires 8 to 12 minutes to complete this training and quiz and will be awarded a downloadable and printable certificate of training upon successful completion.
Given the quick nature of this course, and the fact that fighting a fire is likely only thought about during training, this course is offered on a 12 month renewal frequency. We think covering this topic yearly is prudent.

Wildlife Safety
Encountering wildlife, especially when unexpected, can be hazardous for anyone working or venturing into the wilderness. This course covers a wide range of topics from wildlife identification and behavioural traits to survival strategies. The primary focus of this course is on the most common and potentially dangerous animals including: Bears, Cougars, and the Moose.
This course is broken down into two modules and typically requires 30 to 40 minutes to complete.
Successful completion yields downloadable and printable wallet and wall certificates.

School Bus Hours of Service
The Alberta Traffic Safety Act and specifically the ‘Drivers’ Hours of Service Regulation 317/2002 requires commercial vehicle operators to aware of and comply with this regulation. This course is designed for Alberta School Bus Drivers and covers the fundamentals of DRIVERS’ HOURS OF SERVICE in an interactive online learning environment that can be accessed from any Internet-connected computer.
This course consists of 4 lesson quizzes and 1 mastery quiz. All quizzes must be completed and passed before this course will be deemed completed.
The average student requires 90 minutes to complete this training and is awarded with a downloadable and printable certificate of training.

Commercial Kitchen Safety
Serving as the foundation of our kitchen training program is the General Kitchen Safety course. This course covers a wide range of kitchen related and safety concepts from fundamental basics like dressing for work and housekeeping to specifics such as kitchen hazards, food safety, and emergency response procedures.
The average student requires 20 minutes to complete this training and is awarded with a downloadable and printable certificate of training.

Deli Slicer Operation
This course explores a wide range of operational guidelines and features a short video illustrating the proper technique to be used when using a deli slicer. This course is the perfect complement to our kitchen training program.

Knife Handling
One of the most basic and fundamental tools in any kitchen are knives. With cuts being one of the most common injuries found in any kitchen, this training program will teach you about the correct cutting technique as well as general knife safety. Specific training topics include: knife sharpening, correct knife handling and storage, as well as proper knife cleaning and storage.

Hand Washing & Sanitizing
Hand washing and sanitizing is one of the core principles of maintaining food safety. Students learn about the differences between hand washing and alcohol-based sanitizers as well as some useful tips and commonly made mistakes.

Ride-On Equipment Safety
This course covers the fundamentals of operating various types of ride-on turf-care equipment in an assortment of conditions. By the end of this course the student will understand the general guidelines for operating ride-on equipment safely and efficiently as well as become aware of commonly encountered hazards and how to avoid them.
